How to Improve Your Following in Quarantine

Since Coronavirus has happened, we all unfortunately all around the world have been placed in quarantine. The one positive of being in quarantine is everyone has much more time to focus on their businesses. Although, we are not going to say that it is easy to choose to work from home instead of binging Netflix for weeks! Have you been binging? We are not judging you! Instead, we are here to help inspire ways to improve your following in quarantine.

Social Media has seen drastic increases in the amount of time people are using each app. We know that we personally have increased how much time we spend on Instagram! It’s a sore subject, so please don’t ask how much we have increased.

Do you own a business or company that you run a Social Media platform for? Well, you are about to learn some great tips for improving your following while we are all stuck at home!

Live Videos

When you open the Instagram app, do you see at least five live videos happening? Because we do! Every time, without fail! At first, Custom Digital Solutions did not know what to think of these live videos, but now we love them! These live videos really allow your followers to see the real person behind the perfect pictures. An example of someone doing live videos right is, Serena Kerrigan. She is a content creator that has mastered growing her following during quarantine. She has live videos most nights around 6:30 pm and people continue to come back and watch each night. The best part is the original people come back, but hundreds more continue to join. During coronavirus, she has gained nearly ten thousand followers just from being much more active.

Content Calendar

Picture this, you used to post maybe 3 times a week on your Instagram. Those three photos were not really thought out though. Now is your time to focus on your feed and know what you are posting days before. This is known as a content calendar. A lot of famous influencers use content calendars, so they are prepared for what will be posted each day. They are not scrambling at the last minute for a picture, but instead, their feed is laid out aesthetically. Custom Digital Solutions also highly advises you to post 5 times a week at a minimum! You also don’t want to be annoying your followers, so just one post a day. The more people feel connected to you and your company, the more your following will improve!

Learning from Others

This lesson applies in every aspect of life, but seriously attempt to learn from people with larger followings than you. They clearly do know what they are doing! We have been joining zoom calls that influencers have been holding about how they became so successful. On the zoom call, the people vary from fans to other companies to influencers trying to learn! You can always continue to learn from people more successful than you at the time. Also, if they are a good person they would be more than happy to teach you, so always consider reaching out to them directly.

Start Dancing

“I’m a savage, yeah, classy, boujie..” (Just kidding). Tik Tok is seriously a huge new outlet for companies, content creators, and of course teenagers dances. Deepica Mutyala, the founder of Live Tinted, stated that she would hire someone in a heartbeat if they knew how to increase her following on Tik Tok. We know this might sound a little childish, but Tik Tok can potentially help your brand and following grow if you promote yourself right!

Custom Digital Solutions knows how difficult of a time this is, but we want to continue to help you succeed by continually trying to improve your following! Take some of our tips and see what works for you. If you need help with marketing or social media, please reach out to us!
