How to Create a Holiday Campaign

With February highlighting all the love in the air through Valentine's Day, we wanted to give you some tips on how to successfully execute any holiday campaign. If executed correctly, holidays are great opportunities to market your company!

Holidays create a commonality between everyone that celebrates that holiday which makes it easier to connect with potential customers. There are many technicalities to consider, however, creativity is the key. There is more competition during holidays, so your tactics should be big and bold to stand out. There are different feelings associated with each holiday. Many companies use these feelings as a base for their campaign. Different companies may attach their campaigns to different holidays because of the different feelings they generate. For example, a flower store may release a holiday campaign for Valentine’s Day because flowers are associated with love. This is done to appeal to the customers’ emotions. While making a decision, people think of the situation emotionally, then rationally, making this tactic very effective.

Another popular marketing strategy for holiday campaigns is the influencer strategy. People go on social media 30% more frequently on a holiday. Therefore, whether you use an influencer or not, be sure to make yourself known on social media. Holiday campaigns should occur if you see a potential rise in sales due to the connection between your product or service and the holiday. Therefore, these campaigns should be content-driven. While making the campaign, you should constantly think to yourself: “how can I show that people should buy my product or service because it is connected to the event occurring” instead of the general campaign mindset: “how can I show that people should buy my product or service”. Always keep the occasion in mind.

Typically, holiday campaigns are harder to execute successfully compared to normal campaigns, but the pay-off is well worth it! Are you ready to make your next holiday campaign the luckiest yet? Contact our team today!
